We recommend them. Hungry birds also support their use.

For a few bucks we get walking safety here in the North Country during the winter months. Injuries to the leg or back are not only expensive, but also painful. Once you've used them, you'll never get through winter without them! This brand is cool because it comes with additional boots that can replace the lost ones. We consider them a winter necessity, and our garden friends, birds and squirrels, appreciate them, and they allow us to feed them safely every day, regardless of the frigid…

They work well but not for long

I've had several pairs of these ice boots and have already checked them out. Overall I find they work well to improve traction on icy or snowy roads and pavements. They are also easy to put on and take off and are very comfortable. Their only major downside, in my opinion, is that they don't last very long. In my experience you can only use them for around 10-12 hours before the little yellow spikes detach and fall out of the gum matrix. Depending on how much slippery terrain you walk, you may…

They are amazing! perfect for shoes, jewelry and watch accessories

I've just started testing my Waypor ice grips on Minnesota ice under 3-4 inches of snow and these grips are the best so far - way better than YakTrak (useless on ice) and better than stabilizers (although good) on ice and snow. Wapors have better grip, scratch more and slip less when pushed on ice. (For verification, I had a Stabilicer on one shoe and a Wapor on the other. I've also noticed snow tending around the Stabilicers spikes, but not the Wapors grips. My friends await my verdict: I say…

Alaskan Ice Conditions

I have worked in many places in Alaska with varying icing conditions. The worst was a light layer of snow on the ice. This condition reduces the effectiveness of any brand of traction lug. Other than that, the best spikes I've ever used are like WAYPOR ice grips. I've been using them since I bought them to walk my dogs on fairly snowy and icy roads. You can be sure that they are hard wearing, will match your boots or shoes and will last. I was glad extra spikes were sent with the order as I had

Great pens - does exactly as described.

I live in Maine where the drive from home to my car is bound to be slippery or icy. These pens worked great. After years of slipping, slipping, and accidental falls, I lost confidence in being able to cheekily walk out my door in the winter. I've tried these grips throwing snow when snow covered slippery, treacherous ice and they worked great. I've found these grips to shift around my leg after working outside the home for some time - it's not a big deal as they're pretty easy to remove and…

Toes slide sideways - needs correcting while walking

I wear women's shoes a size 8 1/2-9 and ordered a medium size to wear over shoes. They fit perfectly. I have already used them twice for running on snow and ice and have generally been satisfied. The only problem I had with these spikes is that they curl up when running. I had to adjust them about 3-4 times per run (once or twice per mile) to get the cleats back under my toes. They tend to crawl sideways slowly. If these boots had cleats covering the entire ball of the foot, that wouldn't be a…
