Works great! Nice durable metal, I put it on the end of the shower hose in front of the shower head. This is for my 98 year old mother so it is much easier for her to turn the spray on and off without having to bend down to turn off the faucets. My only gripe is that there are no washers or maybe some tape to make sure it's airtight. Once attached, it is very easy to turn on and off. is present Ordered with the words "brass" because I thought it would be high quality. It even leaked at full flow and shut off if it leaked everywhere. I'm a pro and have worked with water pipes my whole life, honestly plastic would be better than that. The photo only shows three threads, two of which aren't even tightened properly, plus bits of metal that will likely come loose and clog the pipe . AVOID, THIS IS NOT WHAT CLAIMS, THIS IS USELESS POOR QUALITY!

This valve is nice and feels solid. However, there is a design flaw that makes it unsuitable for use in regular bathrooms. There is no "shelf" for the sealing disc that is standard on other shower heads. The male part that screws into the female part only has about 6 threads on such fittings. Without a stop, the male part is simply screwed in up to the inner valve body, where it stops and seals. Then water flows out of this connection. No amount of teflon tape can fix this. The valve is useless

The good news is that it runs very smoothly with little effort, shuts down completely and looks great. The bad news is that it's either a private shower or it's poorly designed. The female end, which screws onto the showerhead's male thread, has no plug or washer, it simply screws to the outside. Twisted, and then it flows terribly. I've managed to work with about 2ft of pipe tape to build up the (loose) threads and it works, but it's not what I expected. Another weird aspect is that "off" is…
