This valve is nice and feels solid. However, there is a design flaw that makes it unsuitable for use in regular bathrooms. There is no "shelf" for the sealing disc that is standard on other shower heads. The male part that screws into the female part only has about 6 threads on such fittings. Without a stop, the male part is simply screwed in up to the inner valve body, where it stops and seals. Then water flows out of this connection. No amount of teflon tape can fix this. The valve is useless in this situation. One could use epoxy putty to seal it, but that's an ugly solution. I plan to return this unusable valve.
