Very easy to use: Meat

When I want to cook meat in a smoker or other way, I wanted something simple and easy to use, it has a fixed probe and wire, making use of one gives pleasure.

Easy to apply to meat

It's easy. I used it in my smoker. I will say it was about 15 degrees higher than my other thermometer. Who can say which is correct without checking a third. I will use it again.

Works quickly and accurately

I bought this unit to replace my old and faulty meat thermometer. I did an ice water test and the readings were accurate within 1-2 degrees. Measures very quickly. I used a flexible yogurt extender. Magnet makes it easy to store. Love it !

When it worked it was great but stopped working 6 weeks after the return deadline

When it worked it was great! I liked that I could place the reader on the outside of the oven and it would beep when it was done. Whatever I have cooked with her has always turned out well. Unfortunately it no longer works today. I replaced the battery with a new one, but now the display shows seemingly random numbers and the bottom row of pixels of numbers doesn't appear. I bought it less than a year ago and have taken good care of it. I need another one because I like this thermometer. Maybe…

What we liked: *) Auto power on/off when extending/retracting the connected probe or connecting/disconnecting the remote probe. I need to calibrate them.*) It's accurate for cooking purposes.*) Fast response time, it only takes a few seconds for the reading to stabilize.*) Remote probe for monitoring things in the oven or grill.*) Powered by a CR2032 battery which is more common these days and is used in many thin electronic remote controls and more. An extremely useful tool!

I've been wanting to try a digital thermometer for a long time and this one looks good. It comes in a well packed box wrapped in bubble wrap; The cable probe and instructions are also in the box that comes with the battery installed. Upon initial inspection I found perhaps the only complaint about the thermometer: the articulating probe is SO difficult to get out of the locking notch, at one point I had to use a wired probe to get it out.
