Ease of use is good for release clips

It is very easy to use and holds the material very well. I had to add a large washer to the screw that goes in the table slot to get it properly tightened, otherwise it would be perfect.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Secret

You Need It - Power Tools & Hand Tools

If you have a drill press you absolutely need it, I bought 2 of these and they work great. A small downside for me is that when I attach it to my abs, it's a bit difficult to screw the bottom onto the screw. But that's probably my mobility issue, not the fault of the truck.

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • Some Bugs

Terrible mounting system

Very poorly designed mounting system. The clamps themselves looked fine, but the mounts are huge and chunky, too big and thick to fit in any power drill I've seen. I have a "portable" surface mount that screws onto a workbench and to get it to fit I would need to jack it up on 2 "x 2" washers. Except the bolts didn't go through the channels.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Empty

Adapted to the locksmith bench drill - pleased with the results

The clamp will not work with the wet drill bench so I added a washer and used a 1/2" T nut. Secure clamp when descending at altitude. You can see the camper but the grip is reliable. I've had more conversions to the 9" version, the TPI is weird. The standard is 13 for this 1/2" screw. This is an inexpensive solution that works under load. Other clamping options are more expensive or dangerous. Confidence in the clamp is paramount.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Compatibility

Imperfect design, not recommended for thin material

Imperfect design. Not recommended for thin, low profile clamp projects. Will not clamp to less than 3/8" thickness. The clamp just springs on its own. The clamp works great with material thicker than 3/8". I machined 10mm Delrin washers and epoxy bonded them on the tips to solve this problem. The spacers ensure that the clamping geometry works correctly. The spacers also protect the workpiece from scratches caused by the rough surface on the tips of the clamps.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Great for Port Freight 10 " Drill

So I got a 10" Port Freight drill for the garage. You'll need some kind of clamp, so I have a 9" port freight drill clamp, but it's A LOT big. So I took a chance and ordered this 6" hoping it was the "right size" for the drill press. Well I'm happy to report it is. This is the perfect one Size. I immediately ordered another one as two would be perfect. I don't understand the bad reviews about it not working or not fitting. It just has to be the big drills that are the problem.

Pros
  • This is awesome
Cons
  • I don't remember

Extra large for 12 " drill

I bought two of these to use with my Wen 12" drill. They hold workpieces securely and are easy to use, but they are too large for practical use. They are so long that they must be fully extended to the ends of the guides in order for the clamping point to keep the parts within reach of the chuck. They also block access to parts after installation and make it difficult to apply vacuum to the drill to collect metal shavings. Also note that when pinching painted parts, the pinch point will be…

Pros
  • 3" neck
Cons
  • unreliable

Good quality but not for wet tables

Contrary to some reviews they actually lock like a regular vise. However, they do not lock beyond the clamping range, say 0-3 inches, like a traditional vise. I just want to let others know as I don't like bad reviews written by those who abuse the tool or go beyond its design. I had to put 4 starts because of an incomprehensible thread m12x1.75. T-nuts for this thread and a 5/8t slotted table are hard to find. The most common thread for this application is 1/2 x 13, and slot nuts are easy to…

Pros
  • Easily attaches to drill table slots
Cons
  • Slightly creased

6 " shackle not good for compression clamps

The 6" shackle (vs the 9" shackle which is fine) is not properly designed or manufactured. The first issue is that the mechanism doesn't lock (regardless of how the screw is set), which is ironic given that it's a locking pliers type of thing, useless as a drill clamp. Additionally, since there is very little clearance between the bottom handle and the deck of the drill, it's impossible to wrap your fingers around it to squeeze the handles. I wonder if they ever tested these things before…

Pros
  • Quick release lever makes release easier
Cons
  • Large and bulky
