I have two lightbulbs and a skylight on my sewing machine in addition to the LED lights, but I still couldn't see the fine detail in the quilting. This completely solves my lighting problem on my Singer Heavy Duty sewing machine. You can trim it to the right size every time to ensure a great fit. They definitely give you enough length and I think it will be enough to fit on any sewing machine imaginable and possibly use it in other lighting applications as well. I was a little hesitant to order from a company I had never heard of, but the price and other reviews made me resist. The package arrived in perfect condition as promised. Just installed today and so far so good. Only small clips were used, took less than 2 minutes to install. It is implemented that you can adjust the brightness by holding or touching your finger on the touch switch to turn it on and off. They are very bright and I have chosen not to crop them for extra light. They were a nice addition to the small sewing jobs I did after installation. I hate to be the first to not give 5 stars but although it emits very bright light there is no light or near the Needle - where I need it most. I have a Janome DC3050 and maybe it's the design of this model that doesn't allow me to get the light I need. I did as some had suggested and first used masking tape to try different ways to lay out the strip.
