Worked great with my MacBook - confidence inspired after HDAPM fix

I have an early 2009 MacBook. This was the last generation that could only fit a 9.5mm drive, hence it is currently the drive with the largest capacity at this thickness. Driver fits perfectly. I cloned my original drive to this one and then installed it with no problems. I don't know why, but I haven't had any of the clicks or beachball issues that others have mentioned using this drive with a Mac. However, my click cycle was crazy. After about 4 hours my score was 417. To be honest I have no…

Incredibly cool and quiet!

I bought this to upgrade my late 2008 Macbook. The original 160GB drive was a Hitachi which seemed fine until I tested this one. It's sooo quiet, cool and the 4.5 year old battery seems to last a little longer. how to update the drive. I followed the advice, it took forever and there were too many unnecessary steps. My suggestions: (1) Replace the hard drive according to Apple's instructions; (2) Install the old drive in a $10 USB enclosure; (3) Boot the computer from the old hard drive (hold…

Ideal for upgrading cheap small laptops.

Have been using this product for over a year now. I wanted my new HP laptop (HP g4-1213nr AMD Dual Core A4-3300M 2.5GHz 4GB 500GB Laptop, AMD Radeon HD 6480G Graphics, 14 inch HD BrightView with LED, Webcam, Recording DVD/Reader, VGA, HDMI, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, Charcoal ) from 320 GB to significantly larger. For the price it worked great. As others have pointed out, after creating recovery discs from a previous hard drive, installation is very simple. , I was able to connect this…

Great HP HDX16 Upgrade CD

HP HDX 16 laptops are great laptops, they work well, support 1920 x 1080 screens, have enough CPU and memory, but there is a problem - they don't have enough storage space for serious use (you can no longer buy them new from HP either). In my case I have 100+ virtual PCs consuming 300-400GB. So my only complaint was that you couldn't get an HDX16 with enough storage. Worse, HP's latest 'equivalent' laptops suffer from overprices and overheating with quad-core processors that can literally fry…

Cons
  • Annoying

இ Fuzzy Wuzzy's summary:ѾѾѾѾѾѾ Highly recommended with warm flakes! I have previously installed two Western Digital Scorpio Blue 5400rpm 1TB drives on a laptop that is commonly used for editing photos, images and very large video files. I liked it so much I added this 750GB to a four year old Windows laptop. My old laptop has a weaker battery and a 90w PSU so I choose this Scorpio Blue over the Scorpio Black because I don't need maximum performance and prefer a more power efficient, cooler and…
