Wonderful ! πŸ‘πŸ½πŸŽƒπŸ‘πŸ½

This large pad is incredible for my many gravy/gravy filled meatballs, lasagna, chicken and whole chicken! Durable and easy to clean when sprayed with PAM or any other product - spray herbal sprays (do not inhale) before placing in a heated base unit that plugs into an outlet. The cord could be longer, but use an extension cord for heavy equipment. Do not use a conventional extension cord, which can overheat. Can't wait to try other recipes like stuffed turkey and pineapple, vegetable soup to…

Pros
  • Very Impressive

Extra cavity

The Weston 18 liter Roasting Oven lets you roast or bake without using a conventional oven. Or provides an additional oven for cooking larger meals. Can hold a large turkey and roast it well. The bird will be well browned, unlike cooking the bird in a slow cooker. The curved lid creates much more space. The device is very durable and has proven itself. I haven't baked in it but have used it to roast chicken and turkey with great results. Cleaning is easier after a little soaking. Mom always…

Really feel like they need an upgrade

My mum always had a Nesco roaster growing up and it's basically the same. Same huge capacity, same big domed lid. You feel like they might need an update as there isn't much that's new. It's really a cheap device, just a simple heating element, something like a thermostat, well, that's all. It's mostly metal and heats up like a slow cooker, maybe even more. In fact, this is a multicooker with a high cost. However, it comes in handy when you simply need more space. Boil caramel corn, keep a side

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

I put a chicken here and it looked so sad and dainty

I couldn't wait to get this item. When it arrived at my front door the box was so big I thought it was the electric washing machine I was waiting for too. When I took it out of the box I was shocked to find the largest brazier I have ever seen. No joke. If you're short on space, this list isn't for you. I put a chicken in here and it looked so sad and dainty. It's also a pain to use. You'll need to preheat it, but once it's hot, open it to add the protein to the heat. There's no way to regulate

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • There are downsides

Quick and easy, best for wet birds, keep oven clean

I love this Weston 18Q roaster. I don't usually like to roast poultry in my full size oven and only do it on special occasions because I cook my bird uncovered to get a nice brown and it always causes a lot of splattering on the walls of my oven making it quite hot . Chaos. I even bought a turkey fryer so I don't have to cook the turkey in the oven! I'm really impressed with this handy oven, which gives me results that are a cross between a Dutch and an open oven - I get a bit of browning like…

This device is hot! Literally.

I've used fire bowls in the past and they come in very handy, but there are some misconceptions that need clearing. Similar to your standard slow cooker, this oven has no direct flame or heating element for browning meat. So if you put raw meat in this appliance like you would in a slow cooker, it will cook, but it won't have the nice brown color you would expect from a standard grill oven. So when I use this appliance or any other grill, I typically either reheat a pre-cooked dish (like a ham)

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Frequency
