Not silver maybe beige

I think they are slightly better than my bose qc35s. The cups feel different on the head, they are a bit stiffer but still very comfortable. Not sure if the harshness will be good in long distance flight. They also seem to be lighter. I prefer Sony controls. They're just better. The slide switch on my Bose no longer works, so I like that the Sony basically has no moving parts. Having tried both headsets individually and one for each ear, they are comparable. Maybe Sony has the edge, but it's…

Voices can be heard easily - NC is no good!

I am disappointed. Sure, they sound great, but 80% of the time I wear them in my office to block out co-workers' voices, which I can still hear clearly. I also have to reconnect Bluetooth to the Mac Mini every day at work. Although I don't connect to other devices between sessions. Definitely not seamless. On a plane recently, I had an incredibly frustrating experience with a guy who spent two hours talking about terminal voltages and battery cells. Sigh. He heard him clearly. as. Day. I had to

Just buy it now!

I finally got that bad boy! I highly recommend these headphones. I'm a techie and after spending over a month looking through reviews of noise canceling in-ear headphones, the Sony wh-1000xm3 was the obvious choice. I admit the Bose qc35 ii was close but in the end Sony won. From amazing noise-cancellation features to easy speech-to-text conversion with Google Assistant, these baddies are awesome. Don't take my word for it. Go to your nearest Best Buy store and try them out. Check out reviews…

Great tech, pathetic software

From a tech perspective, I think these are probably the best headphones out there right now (March 2019). They do everything they say and this is a really high quality product. The catch is that they are difficult to set up and manage. Sony's software for Macbook and iOS is *very* simple and there's no getting around it. You can't rename the device in the Sony app, you can't lock it so other users don't try to connect (which is more likely since names can't be changed), and the iOS app looks…

WRONG WRONG! with headphones

FAKE! Buyers beware, I bought these after reading many reviews that indicated they were the same as the non-international version. The only alleged difference was the lack of a manufacturer's warranty. However, I was very disappointed when a headphone knockoff showed up. I've tried to quantify what helped me identify these headphones as counterfeit and overall disappointed with the purchase. There was no sealed packaging. The box was not sealed due to obvious tampering.2. No brand logos (this…

Not suitable for most people - cold weather issue

**I'm no sound expert at all** Edit: Let's start with the most noticeable downside - depending on where you live. The first day I put them on was March 26th in Pennsylvania and the touch controls went nuts in 32-35 degree weather with little wind. This renders the controls unusable, and since I don't know how to temporarily disable them, you'll have to turn off your headset as the cold generates random commands to pause, adjust the volume, or skip songs. Buyers should be aware that they've been

Stupid product along with even more stupid customer service

I had very high expectations for the product after reading all the reviews and seeing people on YouTube raving about the headphones. I currently live outside the US but have chosen to order and receive it through an outside shipping company. Everything was perfect. I got it shipped to my US address very quickly. When the item finally arrived after 2 weeks via third party shipping, I was very excited to try it out. In the beginning everything was perfect. I set it up, loved the ANC, the sound…

All-rounder, master of his craft

Overall this is a quality product from Sony, a worthy competitor to the Bose QC. Unfortunately, for reasons I will describe below, I decided to return the product, but the quality of the device and key performance factors were not an issue. The positives first: Noise cancellation: This is best in class, absolutely wonderful. I tried going from the Bose QC 35 II to this one and the difference in noise cancellation is absolutely noticeable and almost supernatural. It seems to be much better at…
