After examining the template bits for 'days', one of the reviewers for another bit mentioned how they berated this company and that another bit they bought from another companies bought was 'bad'. . So I tried Whiteside. Impresses right away with the processing quality, packaging and cut of the bit. Will definitely keep an eye out for more editors at Whiteside in the future!
Whiteside make quality router bits and this is just that. This is a dual purpose bit which explains the relatively high price. It has bearings at the top and bottom so you can trim the edges flush with the surface of our workpiece or set the top bearing to move against the template to mill the template. It's 1/4" shank so isn't designed for heavy duty milling - you may need a 1/2" shank bit for this and Whiteside makes that type too.

I stumbled across Whiteside when I was starting out in woodworking and have stayed with them. Was very impressed with the "feel" and how the beats worked properly and did what I wanted.
