This controller is a necessary evil and works great, some games require Wii Plus and Nunchuk to control. You can find out which controllers are required from the games at the top right on the back of the packaging. There must be a diagram of the required controller. AGAIN: This controller may be required for some games. Kids learn the controls in about 5 seconds, adults may never figure it out.
