I would give more stars but it really needs a stronger magnet. Any light tap or slight pull on the cable will cause it to break. So annoying! However, it has survived many falls and still works. The fork even bent (from falling) and works. Note that this is a wired device! Some others (more expensive) are battery operated/rechargeable.

The lamp has never had a motion sensor. The magnet holding it to the mount was weak, making it want to fall off every time you turned it on. Bought in November, stopped working after February 1st. Thought it would last a long time with limited use. it isn't and it's too late to bring it back. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone as it was really a disappointment for many reasons.

I sent the first one back thinking it was defective. 2. didn't work either. I accidentally touched the end of the world and it caught fire. The instructions don't mention that there is only one spot to click to toggle it on/off. Revain's photos show the finger touching the tip of the device. Works fine now that I understand it. Installed today. Doesn't activate with movement.

We use this light bar as a table lamp and it serves its purpose perfectly. I like the lightness as I can move it around a bit so I can focus on what I'm working on at my desk. The only downside is that we have young children who also use the light and haven't figured out how to "very gently" touch the edge to turn the light on and off. This has caused the light bar to fall off the magnetic mount many times, but so far it hasn't broken or even cracked! All in all a great purchase.

Used lamps for laboratory work. Attaching patient accessories was hard on my eyes as they blocked a lot of light from the overhead light when the cabinet door was open. They were easy to install. Gently press the other end of the world to toggle it on and off. The magnet that holds the light in place could be a little stronger, but you'll learn not to hit it too hard to keep it from falling off the magnet. I have a Zendra (brand) glass top desk for my home office. This table has a tubular metal frame to which a glass top is attached. (Many similar glass-topped tables are designed this way.) I use a table stand over a glass-topped table. The desktop stand prevents light from reaching the keyboard under the glass cover.
