One touch does not work

One touch raise/lower feature does not work with this motor but otherwise works fine. Replacement can be a pain and not the fault of the seller or engine manufacturer. Check with Youtube University before trying!

Doesn't quite fit the passenger door

This turned out to be a universal part for both doors. I had to rotate it to match the passenger door and now the power window switch works in reverse (which I can fix by swapping the wires). Good price but maybe I'll pay more for the factory one next time.

Fits perfectly and works as expected

This is a fairly inexpensive and easy repair. If you want to save even more money, you can buy a distressed plastic gear for about $7, but you'll have to carefully disassemble the old geared motor and find the old gear's broken teeth and remove them from the grease.

Perfect fit, louder than the original.

It fitted my CX-9 perfectly and it only took me 20-30 minutes to swap it out. My only complaint is that the motor is a bit noisier than the original (before it broke) which was 7 years old at the time. As long as it works for the next 7 years I will be very happy. :)

So far so good: Power windows and motors

Installed this on my 2013 Mazda CX-9 last night and the window works now. At first only the removed gearbox was installed, but after a month the whole engine fell apart, so that was the next step. The biggest challenge was keeping the window from falling too far in the door, so I recommend two people do this job.

As mentioned before, tapping up/down doesn't work on this engine. But for 30 minutes of work and 5% of the installation costs at the dealership, I can live with that. I just wish they would come out and say there is no such functionality in the description so I can make an informed decision. I would most likely buy it anyway, but I'd pay $5-$10 more to get a real replacement.

repair with your own hands. Wow, very easy to replace

My window didn't go up all the way and then went down by itself. Then he would make noises. I watched a youtube video and found that it is most likely this engine. I decided to order and replace it and it worked like a charm. The entire replacement process including the door panel took less than 30 minutes! So far it's working great and sounds just like the one it replaced.

Works as good as OEM

My driver's window on my Mazda CX7 started making a grinding noise and the window stopped halfway up. Ordered and replaced via Youtube video. The biggest challenge was removing the old one. There are many steps to remove door panels. Once that was done, the device was simply plugged in. The mounting hole matched the old one exactly. The exchange took me about an hour and a half. I've been using it for 2 months now and have no problems to report. If it fails prematurely I will change the 5 stars
