I am happy with this purchase. It helps remove allergens at home so I can breathe more freely. It also helps reduce odors when cooking.

Purchased to purify the air in the house we bought which smelled of cigarettes and other odors. This product has worked very well. Calm. It's also very portable and we move it from room to room from time to time. Highly recommended.

Pros: - Tested for about a month. Vacuumed the room before fitting into the master bedroom. So far, no dust accumulation on exposed surfaces has been observed - Normal odors should be eliminated - Noise in sleep mode is low enough not to disturb sleep in case of noise sensitivity. Other: - Normal noise levels aren't bothersome if the sensor doesn't degrade the air quality and turns the fan on at full speed - There's no word yet on how long the filter will actually last.

Product works well. But even on low settings it is very loud. For comparison I have a Coway AP-1512HH. It's about $30-50 more expensive and covers a larger area, but is significantly quieter at all settings and just as efficient, maybe better. I was trying to save a few bucks for a smaller room. I'm considering returning it and buying another Coway. I bought it for the gym so I'm giving it another week to decide if it's worth the extra money for the silence.

Nice compact device. I have had 2 other large Winix air purifiers for about 2 years now and I really like them (model 5500) so I bought this smaller one for a small space. The only thing I don't like is that it's a lot louder than larger devices. The lowest setting is very loud. It's not very quiet even in sleep mode. I'm very surprised as I expected it to be the same as the larger units. If you are looking for a very quiet car, this is not it.

I like that you can switch off the plasma wave. He can work during the day but not when I'm sleeping. Compared to Dyson, this is an amazing device. It's affordable, small and efficient. During the day, when it's hottest, it does its job and shows me the quality of the air, which helps me know what I'm breathing. I've read that filters are expensive but I think for the cost of the unit I can just buy a new one and bypass a whole new filter. As far as I can tell there is no support for Winix…

Winix makes good air purifiers, but this isn't one. A good air purifier combines a true HEPA filter with a granular activated carbon filter. While other Winix models have this combination, the A230 takes the very cheap route here. Activated carbon is not in granules with a ton of surface. This is just a sprayed mesh that won't last more than a couple of weeks. Winix uses granules in other good products, but this one made them cheap. Goods delivered on time and well packaged. But they work fine. In automatic mode, when the LED ring is red and the fan speed indicators show the unit is running at high speed, it is actually still running at medium speed level 2. Both of my units work like this and it is not normal. The high speed can be selected manually. Sleep mode works fine.
