🔳 Winix 114190 Replacement Filter B for 9500 & U300 Air Purifiers - Black Review

I bought this to replace the filter for my WAC9500. According to the description, this filter is suitable for the 9500 model, but it is not. The lugs don't line up, the filter is much noisier than ever, the dust sensor constantly shows high levels of dust, and air seems to be pushed out over the edges of the filter. Very disappointed that I spent $75 on the wrong filter.

As others have already written, does not fit my 9500. This is the second time that I have tried to order a supposed original filter - nothing more! I've tried the original beige filter frame, but that only works if you insert the filter frame backwards so that the HEPA filter is furthest out, defeating the purpose of using a washable charcoal filter. Want to buy extra air filter machines but never consider buying this brand again if they can't provide a simple filter refill!

I was worried when I ordered this because when all the reviews say it doesn't fit. When I first put the filter in, the cassette looked too big because the tabs on the side didn't fit in the area that the tabs on my previous cassette would fit. Then I tried to flip the new cartridge over so it could fit. inside the indentation for old tabs. What didn't work. Luckily I decided to close the lid anyway! It's going to be great! Works great in our 9500. We did not detect any gas smell as mentioned in previous reviews. I love how it fits snugly into the block with no gaps on the sides. Thus, 100% of the air circulating through your air purifier is cleaned. You can take out the entire supplied filter (grey) and replace it with a new filter (black). Bought both the Winix Purifier and Honeywell 300 a little over a year ago. After much research I purposely bought both at the same time (I need several) to compare them over time. Both received relatively high ratings online. So a year later, replacing the HEPA filters in both units, I can definitely say I prefer the Honeywell 300. Its filters are ultimately cheaper and, in my opinion, more efficient. I plan to buy a third air purifier soon and it will definitely be a Honeywell 300. Winix…

This should have been the filter you were looking for. This fits perfectly with the 5000 series lineup. This cartridge actually fits better in the air cleaner housing than just using a (standard) cardboard framed filter and separate carbon pre-filter pad. This cassette has a rubber pad on the outside of the cassette which seals it within the base housing motor block and provides a tight seal. Feed all the air directly to the filter.
