I wouldn't use them for anything that requires special attention like a wedding cake or a large sized photo for posing, but for hanging on a wall or hiding in a corner where you can't get up close and personal they are great . They had an odor but it dissipated quickly, so if you plan to use them on a cake, let them sit first.
