Wool is a good thickness and I believe it is waterproof (at least to some extent). Easy to put on as the zipper is on the back. My dog's back is 24" and I bought the 23.62" which fits perfectly. She is 55 pounds for reference. If you're on the fence I'd say go ahead and buy it.

Loved how easy it was to put this on my dog. It's big enough to fit on his barrel chest and protects his stomach well. My dog wears it all the time because he's cold because he's from Alababa. The coat is also waterproof and dries easily. I think my soldier looks very good in it. Worth every penny!

I like the material it's made of. I may have ordered a slightly larger size than I need but I think she will love it. The only problem is that the zipper is damaged so I asked for a return.
