I live in the south so I'm hoping to really never need these BUT there's a couple things the boots need.The first is, as at least one reviewer mentioned, strong, 'pull-on' straps that accommodate at least two fingers is baddly needed. The boot is decent, well made, good sole. They are a bit on the stiff side though, hopefully the break in over time. At the present moment they feel a bit like you have a tape ankle / with limited flexibility.
