Item arrived with several rust spots and unusually large damage to the protective seal. It collapsed almost immediately and made various noises. I'm lucky it didn't completely destroy the Xbox.

Very easy to replace two screws then pull out the broken WiFi module, plug this in and screw back into the board. The Xbox One is working again, didn't cost me nearly as much as having to pay someone else to fix it, and further boosted my Daddy Can Fix It status with the kids.

Isn't that pretty? Yes, it looks shabby as hell. It works out? Yes, flawless. Is it cheaper than sending it to a repair shop or to Microsoft*? Definitely. Appearances are deceptive. Remember function over form. If the card starts working or fails altogether I will update this review. Until then, 5 stars.* If the console is out of warranty.

Bought to replace the WiFi card in my Xbox. It came out of the box like a dog's mouth. The board is dirty, all stains. The metal case on top is rusty. After installation I was able to connect to Wi-Fi which was good. The big problem remains unsolved: my controller still won't connect wirelessly. Pretty disappointed considering I paid about $20 for a crappy wifi card.

I'll be brief. The Xbox WIFI Controller fails quite often. Just google or youtube. So before you throw away or trade in your Xbox. Take 10 minutes to order and install this under $20 part. It took me less than 20 minutes to open and install my Xbox. On day one I wasn't worried about my warranty being voided due to Xbox issues. So he's pretty old. Just think how much Microsoft or the repair shop will charge you for it.
