Effective remote control solution

This is being used to provide synchronized on/off for two attic exhaust fans at a pre-set temperature at opposite ends of the house that have to run together to provide adequate cooling. Review is therefore for the "cooling" function only. Remote was easy to program resides in center of attic. No problems with alarms or other unexpected behavior. Each receiver (plugged in at opposite ends of the attic) powers an attic fan drawing a 3 amp (approx 360 watts) peak load. No problems with receivers…

Pros
  • Programmable
Cons
  • Limited range of control

1400 watts . Better if its 1500 watts

I was very pleased with this device. It worked as designed and solved my needs. Its rated at 1400 watts most space heaters, all of mine, run at 1500 watts on High setting. I bought several of these outlets. The ones used at 1500 watts melted a bit and stopped working. The one with a space heater on " medium " (950 watts) continue to work fine.I gave is a 5 star because it works very well as designed. I just need a 1500 watt model.

Pros
  • Easy to Use And Program
Cons
  • May interfere with existing wireless devices

Dangerous quality control

I bought these to run two 1500w standard electric radiators for my garage during the winter. The remote system worked great for the first week. On the second week, I noticed that the garage was a little cooler and found that one of the wall plugs had stopped working. The indicator light would turn on but the plug wouldn't allow the heater to access electricity. I contacted the company and they sent me a new one. Now after a few days of working, I went to relocate the new wall plug and found it…

Pros
  • High Accuracy And Safe
Cons
  • May be difficult to program and use for some

Melted. VERY DANGEROUS.

It melted ruining the electrical outlet it was plugged into. Very dangerous. Could have set my house on fire. ‎Digital.

Pros
  • ‎Digital
Cons
  • May have a short lifespan and require frequent replacement

Defeats the purpose

To remotely control it in a greenhouse, common sense would say you can keep the remote in the house so you can watch it in the greenhouse and turn temps up and down from inside. If you have to go to the greenhouse to check and adjust, a remote is not necessary. The thermometer should be in the outlets, not the remote. Defeated the whole purpose, returning.

Pros
  • Building Supplies
Cons
  • Dual receivers may be unnecessary for some users

Could cause a fire best in my review

Worked perfectly for a few days, then one burned up and stopped working. Other one kept working and wouldn't stop when it was suppose to. Do NOT waste money

  • Thermostats & Accessories
Cons
  • May not be able to maintain precise temperatures
