Worked a day and a half. The lights didn't come on then, so he couldn't scan. This was my first and last time trying this brand. I am a librarian and handle over 20,000 copies a year. I need a high-quality barcode scanner that works reliably. I commend the company for promptly refunding my money as soon as I sent it back.

it's simple and effective. No setup required. I used it to enter personal information on COVID vaccine prescription applications. There are many websites that generate barcodes (Code 128) and the speed really gives you an advantage with these meeting apps. The control barcode book to change the device settings is too small, but the PDF book is available online.

Dislikes: When used immediately after installation, ISBN type codes used for books are misinterpreted. The included manual does not specifically say how to use the codes printed in the manual to recalibrate the scanner to read ISBN codes. Like: The scanner does an excellent job of reading the UPC codes that are commonly used on products. I bought this scanner to inventory thousands of smaller items. While it seemed to scan large barcodes, it didn't recognize smaller ones. I'm talking jewelry store sized labels - not good. While this would be fine for large codes, it's useless for me. Edit: I hate when people leave bad reviews when there are circumstances where the product works well. For this reason I am changing my rating from 1 star to 3 stars. This works well for our large mailboxes, but not for jewelry price tag barcodes.

I read some reviews of several barcode scanners and decided to purchase the WN3300 based on the good reviews and price. I'm using the scanner for a couple of home projects where barcode scanning of items was the heart. The scanner had to be universal and work with my PC and Android tablet. I was very nervous about this product. it was only $17 and seemed to do exactly what I needed. but was it too good to be true? Well it isn't! It does exactly what I need and works so well! The ONLY bad thing I can say about it is that it's light as it seems cheap BUT I've been using it for a month and it's holding up so well. Works great with Excel. I use it to perform basic inventory functions, nothing special. I only have a few hundred items that need to be inventoried twice a year and do the check in/out function every now and then. I've tried expensive and costly software/hardware packages in the past, but have never been able to get the software to work as quickly and efficiently as my Excel spreadsheet that I've kept for years.
