These things are very well constructed and thick and heavy. They block out mostly all light and they can make a room dark in the middle of the day. They're definitely not your run of the mill Walmart curtains that just block out some light. The fact that they are so thick is a good thing because they don't just sway when you pass by. These are great curtains, they are definitely heavy with a very thick material which you would hope for with blackout curtains, with summer and weekends, I was having a hard time getting the rest I was wanting in the morning, the sunlight would wake me up and it was hard to fall back asleep, with these over our windows, I was able to sleep as long as I wanted in a dark room. I have had many curtains in the past that claim to be "black out", yet let loads of light through, which is beyond disappointing. When i installed this, I was ready to be disappointed in the morning once again, but to my surprise it is TRUE! Complete darkness! One side is the color of choice, then the side is solid black to block out light and even suppresses some sound. It's working very well and I love it.

These curtains are exactly 100% blackout just about. On the side that's facing outside it is black on the inside they are white. It is one curtain that goes to full length of your window. It does have a little bit of light that comes in from the very top but other than that it's not bothersome. This curtain looks very stylish and high quality. The feel is very silky and sturdy plus it blocks light very well (the other side is black). The rings for the rod are wide and can fit a variety of rods. The color is vibrant and shiny which accentuates the high quality and silkiness of the fabric. I'm highly pleased with this and would highly recommend them to anyone.

We had vertical blinds for out sliding back door. We wanted to find something to give us sun and heat blocking because the sun pounds the back our house in the mid-afternoon until evening. So far, this has worked out great, although outside temperatures are much lower now than when we ordered this, it still provides the blocking that we were looking for. Hands down amazing blackouts. I live in a high rise with western facing windows, so pretty much always get direct sunlight and these don’t have a hint of light coming through them. I just need to raise mine up a little higher to block out a little sliver of sun

These curtains are amazing! The size I ordered is extra wide to cover a very large opening without having to attach multiple panels but that's not the best part. They are very thick and feel luxurious and block out all of the light! I had not been able to get sleep in the bedroom due to very bright light and these blocked it ALL out! Great purchase!

The curtains work amazing. They block out all sunlight and have helped keep the room cool in the summer with the direct morning sunlight. Very nice to find good quality curtains in such a large sIze for a good price.

This was a lot of well made curtain for the money. Given the price I didn't expect much, but it was thick, long, covered the area well, and even looked a little luxurious. I was happily surprised at how well it blacks things out and looks nice in the process.

Actually blocks the light . this product is the best. I had bought another from a different company that didnt block at all. if you want your TV room or any room to be dark this is the one to buy!

These curtains are of great quality. They are not thin and cheap. We bought 6 for our great room and are so happy with the choice we made. They had a few wrinkles, so I sprayed them with a little water and put them in the dryer. They came out great. Not one complaint.

I was so excited to get these. I couldn’t figure out why the length was so different in the ends. I even measured to see if the wire was sagging. Finally figured out the grommets are not level. Seeing how they look in the day time to determine if they’re being exchanged or returned. I would think for the price there would be better quality control.

I really love how they block out the sun. The temperature on our family room went down 3-6 degrees! However I really wish they were a tad bit longer. Other than that there are wonderful.
