Description of 🔪 Enhanced Replacement for Work Sharp WSSA0002012 Sharpener

The grit symmetry, spacing, and backing flexibility are all designed to produce the optimal convex edge with minimal heating or material takeoff. If you’ve ever used a belt sander to sharpen, you know how quickly the steel heats and how much excess material can be removed if you aren’t careful. Our abrasives are a key component of our success in the sharpening world. This is an exact replacement for the complete set of belts included with the Original Knife and Tool Sharpener. Includes (2) belt of each grit: P80, P220, and 6000.

Not enough mileage on these belts.

I've had a WorkSharp device for a few years now and it's working as advertised. However, it seems to me that it is very similar to an inkjet printer - the printer is relatively cheap, and real money is spent on refilling cartridges (which is why we have laser printers at home). These belts work well, but they don't last very long, so you have to keep ordering new ones. I don't have this problem with my pencil sharpeners.

Don's Comments on Hand Tools

Absolutely Great! Work Sharp have done an excellent job of developing a product that is easy to use and gives your knives and scissors an excellent, razor sharp (actually razor sharp) edge. I have found the straps to last a long time. When the straps are completely worn out, DO NOT throw them away. You can use them for final sanding/polishing if you wish and adding honing paste to the belt provides a razor sharp, mirror-like edge finish. Absolutely the best knife and scissors sharpening system…

If you need really sharp knives, then you've come to the right place!

I was looking for a very good knife sharpener and found it at Work Sharp. I've used a few of those electric ones you run a knife through, but I can never seem to get some knives back even remotely sharp. While visiting the traveling knife sharpener Wüsthoff when he visits the local mall, I had to do something myself. A relative uses Work Sharp, loves his and recommended it so I bought mine. I still have to get used to finding the right angle for our kitchen knives, but from what I've seen so…

Chuck Norris - Whetstones

These tools don't just get the job done. You are good at it. My kitchen knives are the equivalent of a Jedi ninja on steroids. I can cut through the core of the earth with just two knives. I know it's crazy, isn't it? I've been sharpening my scissors and shearing porcupines all day and now of course we have a lot of hairless porcupines around but it's worth it. I probably shouldn't say this, but legend has it that I trimmed Chuck Norris' beard with my bone knife. Yes, you understood correctly…

Replacement blades for the Work Sharp knife sharpener.

Especially for Work Sharp small knife sharpeners. Wow, these people got it right. The first knife sharpener to reduce the stress of sharpening a knife or whatever. All you have to do is thread it through the looping slots, one on each side. Slowly and voila, your knife is very sharp. I've had better results with this type than the supposedly best diamond sharpeners. Well I'm saying I get better results with this type and you can replace the sharpening belt with these belts and they offer a…

80 250 6000 grains. I think it's not enough grit

So far I'm quite happy with my Worksharp. The original abrasive belt kit is starting to wear out, the Revain OEM replacement kit offers the best value. But actually, not all bands in the original kit wear out evenly. For me, 6000 grit belts wore out the fastest (I only sharpened knives). I think one of the reasons for this is that there doesn't seem to be a grit between 250 and 6000. If there was a 1000 grit in the middle I would think the wear would be much less with the 7000 grit. , and the…

Sincere update of my last review.

First, I would like to publicly apologize to DAREX Inc., the maker of Work Sharp knife and tool sharpeners, for mentioning them in a previous review. When sharpening a pocket knife, the machine jammed and smoked. I contacted DAREX Inc. with the intention of purchasing a replacement motor. Unfortunately, some parts, such as the engine, are not available for replacement. I was disappointed but Heather told me she would speak to her manager to see what she could do. I thought she turned me on. The
