We have had this book bag for 5 months now. He survived IMPRESSIVELY. There are wheels and a plastic base at the bottom of the bag. The base is not cracked or torn. I bought the 'Sunny' J World New York Trolley Backpack for my 8 year old specifically to use as a FREE personal item with Frontier Airlines which is on a size of 18 x 14 x 8 inches is limited as of summer 2021. Bought this bag to carry over 25 pounds of school supplies. I use public transport and walk up a big hill to get to school, lots of steps, escalators, curbs and extremely uneven sidewalks. I bought this for my 7 year old daughter who wanted a wheeled backpack. We chose this design because the price dropped to $25. Good size backpack.
