I followed the "T" instructions and it nearly boiled my battery dry, caught it before it fried my battery. I hope I can figure it out so I can use it. The update couldn't get it to work properly, ended up just unplugging it and putting it back in the box, I'll try with different panels and batteries in the future.

The only downside is that there is no digital display. there is one available for him, but it almost doubles the price. A digital reader is not required. The flashing light shows you the overall condition of the battery and you can always check everything with a voltmeter. The ability to adjust the float and charge voltage, as well as the leveling mode (all important for long battery life) make this controller a great purchase.

I bought it some time ago but now I finally installed it. It was just what I needed for my shed. It was easy to connect and the instruction manual solved every problem you can think of. I had an LED flashlight in reverse and that was when troubleshooting. In my opinion, Xantrex seems like a good company. Right now I only have a 7 amp panel so I have plenty of room to grow. I can't wait to expand the digital display. and i will probably choose the xantrex inverter as well.

The Xantrex charge controller is an excellent product in design and workmanship. A true three-stage charge algorithm is provided by the user with configurable bulk charge and float charge voltages. Perfectly designed and manufactured. It does EXACTLY what it's supposed to do: charge and care for your expensive batteries. Fully automatic and no frills. All quality in the box. I have bought over 20 solar units over the years and have never had a problem with any of them. The instruction manual is extensive and well written.
