It's a good product with a couple caveats. I think the laces themselves are going to hold up well but the tips on the ends of the laces pulled off incredibly easy. Also, they are advertised as one size fits all, but this is really not true for boots. They just barely fit my Oakley boots and were way too short for my Nike boots. The other stretch laces have a much better locking and adjustment mechanism than these. Nice colors but the locking mechanism just doesn’t cut it. I had to use the lock from a pair of other laces to make them work.

I really like the product and would have given 5 stars except for the lock clip sometimes doesn’t hold the laces when stretching the sneaker to put on your foot.

Laces are really cute and made my shoes easy slip-ons. They were not easy to assemble as the clip would not click. I had to burn the edges to flatten them to fit properly in the clip. Frustrating, but it’s done.

I couldn't figure out how to attach the little locking piece that attaches to the end of the elastic lace. The laces may not be suitable for people with arthritis!

At 2 1/2 years the laces were stretched out and the clasp would no longer hold them in place. I use them on my biking shoes, maybe too much dirt and humidity. Anyway, I ordered another pair because I couldn't find anything better.

This lacing system is easy to use from setup to actual use. Once installed the xpand laces stay snug and keep your feet in the shoes like they are tied. No issues with slipping or being too tight. Its really a set it and forget it type of solution.

Easy install. Made my gym shoes much less of a pain since I don’t have to constantly re-tie them. They’re suuuuuuper stretchy, but still keep my shoes securely on my feet. Definitely would recommend. I haven’t had them for a long time so I’m not sure of durability, but they didn’t feel flimsy and didn’t fray a lot when I trimmed them. So I’d say that’s a good sign.

Before this on some of my shoes I use Lock Laces, which are a good idea and seem like a good product still, but the locking part seems to protrude out more which means that the bottom of my pants don't as easily wrap around the shoe. This Xpand lock design doesn't come out as much but rather sits more flush on the shoe tongue. Also if I recall they claim that it's stronger locking. I like these laces a lot. They completely change how tour shoe fits. Much more comfortable now. With the added bonus of being no-tie, slip-ons. I wear minimalist footwear brands like Vivobarefoot. Some of them come with quick laces but they aren't stretchy. The stretchyness makes the shoe so much more comfy.I want to try them on my hiking boots but I'm not sure how well they will work with lace hooks. I have purchased several pairs of these and am slowly converting all my shoes!
