🚨 Xprite 14" Inch Red Spare Tire Brake Light for Jeep Wrangler JK 2007-2018 - Third LED Rear Wheel Lights Tail Lamp Review

Half of the LEDs are off. Lasted less than 6 months. inferior quality. Update: 05/31/21 The seller contacted me after reading the review and offered to replace the device. They sent a new device, everything works. Excellent customer service. I am changing 1 start to 3 stars.

Pros: It's inexpensive and I like the smoky finish of the LEDs which gives it a very clean look when not on. Cons: Installation requires cutting and splicing of wires.

Not a little more, not a little less. but exactly what was described. I love it, it looks amazing and is perfect for what I want. Looks like a small toy (not a solid construction) so I'll upgrade if it breaks, but it's protected in the back and in my spare wheel rim so I'm guessing there's not much of a chance of damage.

I like to do small upgrades along the way in my jeep. I've seen that on a lot of jeeps. They illuminate the back of the jeep beautifully, giving those behind you another reason not to stab you in the back. They look beautiful when they glow. They're plastic and time will tell how they hold up, but the rear spare wheel seems to shield them from direct sunlight during the day.

I've recently stopped driving like a savage without a spare tire and started acting like a more enlightened person. I got a Rugged Ridge Tire Carrier for a 35" BFG KM3 tire and a 16" Dick Cepek DC 2 wheel. Got a 14" brake light disc and it fits perfectly. I'm very happy with the way it looks. XPrite. This is the second time I've been happy with their lighting options. It beats the OEM brake light by a mile.

I wanted to give the product 5 stars but due to the lack of instructions in the box and Xprite's own video the wiring is missing, I rate this 4 stars. Installation was pretty easy. I used wire couplers and tuned them to the 3rd brake light channel. (picture shown) I had a lot of wiring. In fact I had to cut it. I like the brightness of the light and the darkened look. The product fitted perfectly and was easy to install. I even soldered and heat shrink wrapped the connection to the 3rd brake light wiring for a nice and professional look (although the wiring is hidden inside the 3rd brake light neck). The unit ran for about three weeks before more than half of the LEDs went out (see photos) and I spun around not knowing they weren't working until my wife pointed them out to me.
