Works great with leather or nylon straps.

Works better than I expected. It's not a mass production machine, but it worked great for a couple of spurs and halters. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to get into leather sewing and not wanting to spend a lot of money. It's a hand crank and a crude little machine, but it does the job perfectly and I love mine.

The machine is great but the stand is light

The machine itself is well designed. My problem is a light stand that doesn't fit me. The solution for me is to mount it at the end of my tanning, which gives it the stability I need to use it properly. If for some reason I want to make it portable again I will create a stronger base for it, I would like the instructions to be written in a larger font.

Not bad for the money, it needed some modifications to make it run smoothly.

Before I start, let me say that this saddle stitcher is *WORTH* an investment if you can make a few basic modifications to it once you get it. I recommend it, it's just not great out of the box and requires some work to get there. Apart from that, there are some small issues that affect the score. I received my device a few days ago. I was a little dissatisfied with the number of dimples on the crank (front and rear) but this is a sand cast part so I accepted it as is. The stand was unusable. I
