Do not buy this item, it is cheap and will break with use. Find another option. I don't recommend this tool unless you want to spend money and buy another one.

Damn, the third valve is broken! I ended up buying the $50 model on the summit and it's very sturdy. Must understand that "you get what you pay for".

Works fine after I figured out how to assemble this thing. The two screws they sent in to compress the springs bent on the first try. Got a better screw and worked fine the rest of the time.

Junk. On one motor it wasn't even possible to remove the springs because the bolt and washers just fell off completely. I had to cut off the first screw with a grinder to get at the excess which didn't even remove 2 sets of springs. I would opt for a new bolt, but if you back out the bolts with the threads removed, the threads on the tool will also deteriorate.

Bought to try. I have used several other types of spring installation devices in the past. So this tool is ready to go to work with one motor or two heads. On the end of the first LS head the drive bolt was snapped off in the middle, the long bolt was replaced with an extra one included in the kit and the same result on the other head. By the time I was done, the tool was basically junk. I went and bought replacement grade 8 screws and fasteners ($8 extra) and rebuilt the tool.

Decent tool for the price, hardware seemed cheap and flimsy out of the box but worked as intended with no real problems, had to flip the mount , because it got stuck on the bracket, the press should be maybe 1/16 inch wider but that's why I flipped it, after that it worked fine, make sure to lube the threads frequently or it might snap out, don't worry get, the tool worked fine

Ordered for my 2011 Silverado. The tool fits well and is ready to use. Just not on my pickup with no modifications. The part that bolts to the rocker arm bracket should have a 50% grind where the bolt you use to compress the springs is located. It had to be sanded down as there was no room to compress the springs when the tool was shipped. The tool would be at 5 if it worked as supplied. I'd rather rent a welder and make mine for $30 less.
