The case is very nice and well made but it doesn't have 220 compartments. I can fit a maximum of 3 pins in each hole and it's very tight. 8 sides, 9 slots on each side. My pencils are so tight I'm afraid of breaking the rubber bands (notches). They will likely extend over a period of time.

I looked at a lot of these but ended up buying this one because it was said to last the longest. I add a mix of Tombows, Mildliners, Sakuras, Pentel Brush and Pilot Pens and they don't even come close. Keeps everything tidy, but is clearly better suited for pens and pencils without clips. I was blown away by the quality, size and overall design of this colored pencil case. I was expecting something almost flimsy and was given Rolls Royce pencil cases that fit 2 full sets of crayons that I recently bought with room for another set. WOW! What's outside is less important than what's inside if you want to protect the expensive pens you have or will buy today. It does exactly what it promises! Pay attention to my photos, this suitcase is full. What you don't see is how easy it is for me to zip up when it's full - just what I wanted!
