POOR QUALITY BEARINGS FOR 06 MUSTANG GT

So I purchased this Yukon Axle Bearing and Gasket Kit (P/N 1559) for a 2006 Mustang GT in October 2019. My '06 Mustang GT rear axle started making noise last month February 2020. So I removed the rear wheels and found that there was too much play in the rear axle. Everything pointed to the axle shaft bearing, guess when I removed the bearings from the passenger side axle the bearing started falling apart, I've attached pictures so people would stop buying these bearings. DO NOT BUY THESE…

The stock was a perfect print, nice and smooth

The stock was a perfect print, nice and smooth. However, the situation was different for the storekeeper. That would not work with a 12 ton press. It was beyond the limits of tolerance to be pressured. Luckily I'm a machine shop owner and made a big chamfer on one end of the retainer and I also had to drill .002 to bring it to spec so I could press the bearing retainer onto the shaft. Hench reason for the 3 star rating. I am satisfied with the bearing, the retaining ring is not very good. I'm…

Garbage. waste of time and money. AVOID. AVOID.

I'm no fool, I know how to properly install axle bearings. This is junk, the bearing failed in less than 500 miles for a Ford 8.8 axle. When installing I was skeptical as the bearing is not very tight on the shaft and lo and behold the bearing is very noisy. UPDATE: Replaced culprit bearings and the noise is gone and there is no play when the tire wobbles. The axle bearing surface has been triple checked for issues and they are absolutely smooth and 100% flat. I don't know what's up with this…

Very good. Great quality, will use again

Everything for one rear wheel. Be careful not to throw away the oil deflector though - this kit doesn't include one (nobody has it) and it's a dealer part that they often don't stock. The protrusions of the oil deflector go to the bearings. Just be sure to note the setting as you go through it all. There are many videos on youtube. When installing, make sure to fill the bearings with grease, since the differential oil will migrate through the bearings after a while. In some videos you put a…

Just a ticket to the rear restoration of my 21 year old Chevrolet Silverado!

I have a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado with just over 400,000 miles and the rear end makes an awkward noise when the bearings fail. I decided I needed to restore it and called my local Chevrolet dealer for a quote on the restoration. They quoted me a minimum of $2400.00 depending on what they found so I decided to try it myself because I could buy all the new bearings, bearing assemblies, rings and gears, seals, gear grease and all the tools , which I need for this. less than $2400.00 and that's…

AK SET10 Bearing Kit for Dana 44

DO NOT buy - Yukon Transmission and Axle are not good products nor good company Purchased AK SET10 Bearing and Seal Kit for Dana 44 (Jeep Wrangler rear axle). Follow the instructions provided. After installing it, I found that the instructions were wrong. I had to destroy both sets of bearings to remove them. In particular, the instructions include a diagram showing the orientation of the pressure plate lip (towards the axle flange). Only after the installation did I realize that the…

The bearings themselves fit well and appear to be well made.

Decal to fit Ford F150 06 4x4 5.4L 9.75" rear. The bearings themselves fit very well and appear to be well made in the USA as well. As on the Picture shown which differs from the OEM bearing I pulled off my truck The OEM bearing had 10 rollers with a guide to allow more clearance between the rollers I'm not sure if one is really better is not an expert in this area as the other one i looked at also had a 13 roller bearing the same circumference as my axle housing this really confused me at…
