These fasteners are said to be 304 stainless steel, but I'm not exactly sure if they are.

These clasps are noticeably darker than any other stainless steel I have ever received. The box says "stainless steel" but it's missing "304". I wonder. However, they are the right size.

Don't fade!

It's GREAT! I make costume jewelry and struggle to find cheap clasps that don't turn. I wore this clasp outside in 90 degree heat for several hours and it kept its golden colour! In this photo you can compare my originally gold stainless steel ring with the clasp.

The color is listed as SILVER but it is the color of stainless steel.

My wife bought these thinking she had finally found the lightweight and shiny silver stainless steel hook clasps as the color is 'silver' and the other option 'stainless steel' is listed in the color quality was. Apparently it's just an error in the description because it's definitely not bright silver. Very disappointing.
