good but expensive good for kitchen and dining room

The only negative thing about this product is the price. It is very expensive. Besides, it's great. Strong and durable. Good size (not too small and not too big). metal parts. does the job. We got it for salt and it works great. I would recommend if you don't mind the price.

completely frozen in salt and pepper

I use this at my summer home on Cape Cod. I bought an expensive ceramic mechanism salt mill hoping the salt wouldn't corrode it. The grinder appears to be fine, but the rotor will not detach from the shaft. There is a metal-to-metal contact point that I suspect is salt frozen.

A good product! Good tree

Good product! Beautiful tree, well done. First class mechanism. And the regulator is a ring on the bottom that spins and WORKS, and no pinch screw on the top crap. This is a good product. In the last 2 years 4 other cheaper combination products have broken. Smaller combinations of pepper and salt mills, some made of metal, some made of plastic. Waste money $$$$

Grinds sea salt very gently. It has a ceramic grinder, I hope.

Definitely worth the money. Grinds sea salt very gently. It has a ceramic grinder so hopefully it will last a lot longer than my cheap plastic grinder which ran out of teeth after about 5 years. Warranty for this one is 25 years, we'll see. Made in Germany and not in China - that's also a plus!

Fine salt mill for kitchen utensils and gadgets

Finally a salt mill that actually grinds salt. Of all the salt mill reviews I have been able to find and read, very few mention how they actually grind the salt. I run coarse Himalayan sea salt through this pup, and while it sometimes takes a shake or two to get large chunks into the ceramic grinder, it grinds them up easily. However, we'll see how it stands the test of time.

Great table accessory when using the right salt

We have been using a beautiful pepper mill for many years and wanted to add a salt mill to our table. Among other things, it makes dinner more fun and decorates the table. Of course, table salt and kosher salt won't work here, as they go straight through the grinder, leaving a small mound of salt on the table. The answer to this question is rock salt, which I purchased separately and reviewed elsewhere. The bottom line is that if you use the right size and texture of salt, this salt mill is a…
