The bathroom door kept closing. It took something to keep it open. The magnet seemed strong enough, but after removing the plastic guards from the contact faces, the magnetism was amplified by suction, resulting in over-sticking and a very loud displacement noise when pulled off. I mean LOUD.

This product installs in minutes. However, once installed, it exhibits several unacceptable features. The adhesive is too weak because both the device and the magnet keep coming loose on their own. After applying stronger glue, the item only works for a few seconds to release the door several times. Completely unacceptable.

UPDATE. I've since reattached it with an adhesive suitable for the stone (possibly Gorilla Original) and can say it's held up for almost a full year with no problems. Year. So I'm adding a star to this new discovery. Super strong! This absolutely does NOT work on stone. No matter how much I cleaned it, it didn't stick. I really like the concept of this product so I might try fixing it with some kind of sealant or something. But I am extremely disappointed.

I've had them installed on almost every door in my new house for almost two months now and I absolutely love them. They were very easy to install. Love it, have had it for about 6 weeks and immediately fitted it to our door which wants to open halfway and won't stay open. It didn't work after about a week or two, so I just taped a flat adhesive circle to fit the door piece, washed it with warm water as they explained, and placed the circle with the magnetic side against the wall to wrap it again to align and opened the door for it (to install it) and it got up again and it works great!
