Need a new cable! - Engine Heater

I have one in our Subaru and it works great but we lost the wire. I had to assemble the entire unit to replace the cable. Well I guess I have a backup now.

Pros
  • Engine Heater
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Works great, usually lasts me 3 years in AK

Works great, usually lasts me 3 years in AK. Try to avoid glycol concentrations above 50% as this seems to result in faster failure.

Pros
  • hose type
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Will not fit 2018 Subaru Impreza.

Will not fit 2018 Subaru Impreza as advertised. The housing hit a casting on the engine and stuck out too far to insert. In general I like zerostart products and this would be no exception if it worked as advertised for my application.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Almost OK

It was very easy to install

Worked fine for two weeks then it started to fail. A month later it was completely dead. Did a continuity test and it was fully open (no resistance). I hope I only got one in a thousand that broke quickly. But it was very easy to install.

Pros
  • Engines and engine parts
Cons
  • There are flaws

Easy installation on a 1999 Subaru Legacy 2

Easy installation on a 1999 Subaru Legacy 2.5L engine. The engine warms up nicely in about an hour. Just buy a powerful timer and set it to warm up the engine an hour before you start driving. No need to waste energy all night.

Pros
  • Engine heaters and accessories
Cons
  • Some defects
