Very Nice Computers & Accessories

Exceptionally well made. Attempting to add a second hard drive to my son's HP 8460p, almost failed. Once the new hard drive was installed in the container, replacing the original DVD burner, choosing the right boot device was easy. I just pressed the wrong button and that was the problem. Very nicely built, just like the OEM HP DVD writer it replaces. A very pleasant surprise for such an inexpensive but worthwhile adapter. Ideally, this is a good way to install Linux on a computer runningโ€ฆ

Perfect for converting a Dell Optiplex 3010 SFF Optical Drive to a 2.5 " SSD Enclosure

12.7mm height is ideal for the Dell Optiplex 3010 SFF PC. The CDRW drive has been replaced with a 2.5" SSD and a standard 2.5" HDD should also fit. Features an LED to show it's powered on and a faux eject button that mimics an optical drive bay. optical drive as this one has a faux one built in and looks perfect OEM with no branding or wording on it. I am converting two of these PCs into cheap HTPC eSports gaming PCs. A 7 year old PC is still functional in 2020.

It works but I had to fix it first

first it must have 4 small screws to hold the 2.5 inch drive. The one I received had 2 screws facing the wrong way (away from the drive) and there were no Phillips or flat slots on the heads to remove them. Finally I used an oscillating tool and cut them off. I put this in a Dell Optiplex 7010 USFF with a 500GB WD drive and it fits snugly but works. I didn't have to adjust the switch that you can see on the Caddy, the drive was recognized immediately. Poor quality control but what can youโ€ฆ
