100% recommend if you need good hydration.

Perfect for what I need it for. I have two garden snails that need good moisture, the soil I used before was watered 4-7 times a day and still didn't hold enough moisture for the snails. I have no complaints about that. I bought 2 stones expecting them to be small because the price was perfect but I had more than enough to make this case. I also added a half gallon zipper to the back of an additional mold made from just 1 brick, the other intact.

Excellent material!

If you have a tropical terrarium or even just a reptile that likes to dig like my Uromastic I would highly recommend this one. I will use it for my leopard gecko nests and mix it with sand for my uro. It is a soft, earth-like fiber and is very easy to scrape off. It holds moisture well in most cases. If you want it to retain more moisture, you need to cover it with a layer of peat moss or forest moss and spray it daily. I also use this for a salamander and she loves digging in it. It's…

This coconut shell rock is literally the size of a brick! I read the reviews before purchasing this item for three of my hermit crabs and realized this would be a good option for them. I noticed that some reviews mentioned that this expands the space so some only used part of the brick as they didn't fill their entire terrarium with it.
