It works but it's so light I dented it after dropping it a few feet. Sometimes I have to knock it over for the automatic light timer to kick in.

I bought silver. From what I've researched, this product is the best of the best. The only thing I would add is the on/off switch which my other had. I only started using it a few weeks ago so my rating is based on research and what it looked like when I got it.

No on/off switch, I understand it's cheap but really? After about a week, the dome itself would no longer turn on when we plugged it in. Since then it has been a guessing game whether it will work out that day or not. My savvy monitor requires constant heat and is not happy with this purchase.

I am a huge Zilla fan and love this dome! It has a porcelain finish so the heat won't kill your bulbs quickly, has a huge 8" hole so you can fit a variety of bulbs in it, and you don't have to upgrade the reflector dome when it's time use them bigger/stronger lights! Great buy at a great price, what more could you ask for?

BUT I really don't like that nowhere in the product description/specs was it mentioned that this dome isn't deep enough for a standard sized bulb.
