Very, very strong. Couldn't get it to work until I bent the larger holes on each side with a screwdriver. It's still very tight compared to the zippers on the pockets. All flashes are 5V. Maybe the zipper cover is too thick? I did it, but it took a lot of strength. The jacket is quite old, maybe something has changed in size.

Zipper stopper requires more force than needle nose pliers. The first stop flew away somewhere. No instructions (or warnings). Just installed and it works, but not smooth (I used to have a Talon breech). UPDATE: 4 months later the zipper broke. Found in the washing machine. Downgraded from 3 to 1 star.

. Matches perfectly with the Northface jacket. In fact, it was the exact same flash, but a different color. I watched a video on YouTube on how to do this. I just looked at where the letters were on the zipper and installed it the same way. I had to pry a bit on one side with a screwdriver to close the zipper. Works very well and fluidly like the original. By the way, Northface repairs their zippers for free, but it can take 1-2 months.

Nice strong zip that goes with my Colombian fleece jacket. The pull tab on the original zip broke so I wanted to replace it with a different zip as I thought it would be a good choice. Well it's a good zipper but the locking mechanism doesn't work at all. I see that there is a spring inside, but it doesn't stretch or compress, it doesn't stop the zipper from moving/moving to the locked position. If I wanted a regular zipper with no lock, I would go with a cheaper zipper. Works but disappointed.

Combined with HardwareElf's black Vislon #5 Top Stop, a couple of YouTube videos, my scissors and needle nose pliers and one of the YKK #5 Vislon Reverse Sliders I quickly got back to tactical use Fleece Balaclava 5.11 (#48038) at a much lower price than the cost of a replacement. The closest solution would be an old WearGuard 370 liner with a Vislon #8 zipper. Now that I know how to fix zippers, I regret returning my old (coil-zip) Convert jacket to Columbia for a replacement credit (but kudos
