I had to return the product for fish and aquatic animals

looks decent. I've read the reviews - some good, some bad. I figured I had a 50/50 chance of getting a good one that worked. Bad luck. Sharp edges, unfinished paint (probably just chipped), hose not reaching bottom of pit (about 2 inches short leaving motor just dangling). I'm not the picky type, so all of these things were ignored in my book. But as soon as I poured water in to test the motor, it ran through the back of the LED power cord right onto my counter. The unwanted LED light was notโ€ฆ

A great product only needs a tick to make it perfect.

This product works very well. I've been using it for a few weeks now and my crested gecko loves it! As most reviews say, the only issue I found was the LED light leaking water, which isn't a big deal as most of the water goes into the tank, but enough of it follows the cord down and out. Knot flows everywhere. To solve this problem I simply took some silicone and ran it along the bottom of the lantern and held it there until it stuck. no more river That being said, and it's a little louder than

Takes some work, but great!

I bought this used in "very good" condition and it was literally broken. Luckily I had read the reviews beforehand and had a silicone aquarium sealant on hand with a few modifications and fixing it with a pump that had a broken bit on the hose preventing it from working viola! I was never able to test it to see if it was leaking out of the light as I just went ahead and sealed the LED bulb and rubber "gasket" around the light. I also added a mesh strainer where the water drains back into theโ€ฆ

Great waterfall for my white tree frogs

So far my frogs and I love this little waterfall. Others have written about back and cable issues. The only issue I had was that I had cleaned the outside but not the inside and there was a piece of bubble wrap. So clean the whole damn thing! I top it off every few days to keep it full and I think the running water helps with hydration for my frogs. The one in the picture loves to sit on and in the waterfall while I unplugged it to clean it. I love the cascading sound of water. I have an LED on

First, the hose is too short and pulls the motor out of the water. It leaks, it's loud. I've been fixing the pipe for a while, couldn't find the right size to fit the existing pipe. Then the upper part of the nipple, to which the hose to the engine goes, broke off. My water dragon pool has been filled with water five times. I've been playing with the fountain and trying to make it work longer. I pulled myself together and didn't throw it against the wall. I took it out of the tank. The motorโ€ฆ

Not worth your money

Nice junk. I mean it looks great in your aviary, it really does and my white tree frogs LOVE to sit in little streams that have water running down their backs. i hated it You can't tell how much water to put in it, so it overflows and spills out the back, and even if that's not a problem, animals that use it as intended will send the rest of the water up your cage and suffocate. substrate and causes big problems. Even if they just crawl on it, it will tip over and squirt water out. I've triedโ€ฆ

Leakage Problem Easily Solved

This product will probably need some modification, then it will probably work well for you. The LED bulb has a chronic (based on other reviews and my experience) leakage problem. The LED is in a rubber stopper; water is slowly dripping somewhere in this seat or between the rubber stopper and the plastic. It drips into the tank, so no problem. The problem with the cable leaking from the LED: when water drips on it, it travels along the cable and leaves the device. When I first got the unitโ€ฆ

The leak could not be fixed. It's light, not light.

I was determined to get this product working for my son's terrarium but couldn't fix the leaking problem on ours but after 5 days of trying to seal it and then test for leaks we are still leaking. That's all. I give. You won the waterfall. Caulking the LED light might help if water runs down the cord, but it didn't fix our leak. As it turns out, our leak is through the rock material at the front of the falls. I figured this out by placing the waterfall on a paper towel and drawing the base ofโ€ฆ

Happy frogs! Best in the Fish and Aquatic Animals category

I bought this waterfall to use in place of the waterfall kit recommended for setting up a ZooMed terrarium where you would need to create your own levels of water flow areas like a tree. Definitely a simpler and better kit solution. I didn't have to make extensive modifications to the product to get it to circulate water at the bottom of the tank. Instead of putting the pump in the back cavity, I put it outside and covered it with hydroballs to make sure the pump didn't come loose from theโ€ฆ
