falls further: aquarium decor

I bought three for my gargoyle baby geckos. Now that they are growing (about 15g), their ridges keep falling off. I have a larger mushroom bar (also a Zoo Med with the same suction system) and a magnet bar that doesn't fall off.

Pros
  • nice packaging
Cons
  • weight

Good but uncomfortable

I love the product but having to take your pets away for 24 hours to stick this damn thing on the wall is pretty impractical and permanent! I couldn't find any tape or other adhesives to stick this weird stuff on.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

Turn it into a magnetic bar!

Ordered this tab and four neodymium magnets (50mm x 16mm N50). I drilled two holes, slightly larger than the magnet, from the back of the bar and then glued two magnets into the holes. Two more magnets on the outside of the terrarium glass hold the bar very firmly and it fits our anole perfectly. Easy to remove, easy to wash.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Nice little bar is best at Fish & Aquatic Pets

Got this for my lizard and was going to put it in his large tank but ended up using it for his travels. I used double sided tape instead of glue in case I wanted to move it to a larger tank and it held up really well. It is light, even if it falls, it would not do any harm. I plan to get at least 1 more and possibly a bigger one in the future.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Having problems

Looks good but difficult to install

Looks good in a terrarium. My gecko doesn't use it as much as I would like, but it adds to the overall feel of the cage. The assembly is a bit tedious as the animal has to be out of the cage for 24 hours while the glue dries (didn't like it) and it can't be moved or taken out. However, I am happy with it and my gecko uses it occasionally. Good for the price.

Pros
  • Pet supplies
Cons
  • Doubtful

You have to stick it (wait 24 hours) and forever.

It looks like a ledge, but it would be better if it was magnetized, like a stern ledge. It's permanently bonded to the inside of the glass, so you better be content with where you plan to place it. The worst thing is that you have to take your animals out of the terrarium for 24 hours while the glue hardens. (Chemicals?) That's why I haven't installed it yet. I don't want to disturb her habitat for 2 days and we don't have a suitable replacement home for her. Why not magnetize on Zoo Med?

Pros
  • Backgrounds
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Whites Tree Frog Loves It (Glue Warning)

Looks like a mushroom, feels like styrofoam. Put this in a white tree frog kit and it's already hanging on it :) I actually used Gorilla glue to hold it because it cures faster than silicone and is safe once cured (many kits use it for backgrounds and branch settings ). Warning: I got curious about the silicone glue and ended up trying it on a vine and immediately regretted doing it while the frog was in the aviary. The strong acid-vinegar smell during curing was awful and I was afraid it would

Pros
  • Aquarium Decoration
Cons
  • Expensive
