We bought these for my son's skink. They kept one end of his small cage warm. They don't last very long. But if you follow the instructions instead of turning it on and off and only use it for a few hours a day then I think you get your money's worth. This is the best price we have found and delivery was fast.

Be generous with a 4 star rating because they fill a niche market. There aren't many options when micro geckos live in an Exo Terra 12X12X24. You need heat, and a 50-watt lightbulb is too hot. These 40W nano lamps maintain the ideal temperature. However, they simply do not last as long as some other lamps. Each bulb seems to last between 4-10 weeks. At least for 4 pcs. The price of a light bulb is not that bad. I've just learned to always make sure I have at least one backup waiting for me.

This lamp has an operating time of four hours. It heats up and the filament is pretty weak.
