I have 3 of these to warm dubia cockroach tanks in the winter. The containers lie on the cables and are optimally temperature-controlled.

Only works in places not everything heats up! Rear return window. Now the tank is cold and we have to hurry to buy something else, a waste of money!

They do the job as long as you have enough heating cable to run through all the shelf levels multiple times, but turning on the AC with the side shelf open doesn't work t. do nothing. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with open shelves or those who don't have anything to engrave to get it right.

The heating cable is perfect for what I needed. I have many tarantula cages and I run this wire along the back of their cages. I hold it to the top of the substrate with mini hooks. So if they need or want more warmth, they can conveniently snuggle up to the side of the case with a heating cable. It worked great. Very good product.
