Does not take long. in Fish & Aquatic Pets

The filter worked great until it broke. This filter may only last a few months before you need to buy a new one. Bought late June, now December. So six months before it broke.

Pros
  • a good thing
Cons
  • some trouble

Tiny Workhorse - Filter Accessory

Packaged in 3-4 gallons. paludarium. The 3-stage filter is tiny but does the job well. I use a drain to create a trickle effect, it pulls the water up surprisingly. In the video, the filter is behind the petrified wooden panel at the back right.

Pros
  • Pleasing
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Great, but the instructions suck.

Works great. I wish the waterfall instructions were better. I had to search on YouTube. Also, make sure you take the charcoal out of the plastic bag first. More detailed instructions will help here too. I didn't even know it was in the box until I opened it all up.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Speed

Works when it wants to

The thing worked fine for a few days, now the performance is so low that it only seeps through the first 2 holes. I removed the filter and it's clean. I don't know why, but for this reason I had to relocate a caiman turtle that I have had since childhood. NOT AT ALL SATISFIED WITH THIS PRODUCT.

Pros
  • Best
Cons

Completely disappointed.

I bought this for my paludarium to replace a cheaper, lower powered pump. I wanted to increase water flow to a waterfall filter I built and it was advertised as ideal for the job. Aside from 3 weeks to arrive in a crushed box with a scratched body and a UK plug although I live in Spain and it was shipped from the US unfortunately it still doesn't squeeze more water than the one I replaced on! What a waste of time and money.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Unreliable

ZooMed Corner Filter value for money

I use this in my low tech 29 gallon tank. When I got it I wanted to use it in my 20 gallon nursery but it was way too tall for the amount of substrate I'm using. When I got a 29 gallon tank I needed a mechanical filter. I remembered I had it idle so I installed it in there. What I like about this filter is the ease of maintenance and hacking. I strongly recommend trying it. That's almost half the price you would pay as an aquarist. Will I buy another one for my next 29? Yes. Should arrive…

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Only available in black
