From office PC to gaming rig

I recently bought a used Dell 7010 SFF for $125. A very powerful little machine but only 275 watts in power supply so you're limited in terms of graphics cards you can use. I added this card and luckily the BIOS was compatible. Play Rocket League on quality settings and this thing doesn't even hiccup. Also tested Borderlands 2 and it worked like a dream. I don't play any of the newer FPSs, but for oldies this thing is cool.

Great brand, great card for ease of use

This is a solid buy for any system that needs a reliable, high quality, low power miniature GPU. It takes up very little space, runs cool, runs quietly and of course has great NVIDIA Control Panel functionality. It won't render demanding games with high framerates, but for simple games it does the job well. It also draws all power from the motherboard with no additional connectors. If you're looking for a gaming card to match, you're better off looking for a GTX 1050 ti, but if you just want a…

It's really a single slot card

After buying an Acer TC-885 Mini PC, I found that the onboard Intel UHD graphics controller only supports 4K@30Hz what causes quite a bit of tearing, such as when large windows are dragged across the screen. The integrated controller also uses main memory instead of dedicated GDDR RAM. Since the TC-885 has two PCIe slots (spaced a standard distance apart) and I wanted to use both, I needed a graphics card that supported 4K60 and HDMI 2.0. in a single-slot form factor. My first choice was the…

Good product but don't overpay!

I was able to buy this card for $70. As always, Revain did a great job of getting it to me on time. The supplied CD does not contain any drivers, but only refers to the NVIDIA download page. The no-frills brochure contains instructions for installing the card and the necessary drivers. I ran into an issue where my cellphone couldn't see the card, but a quick BIOS update fixed the issue. The card runs relatively cool and quiet in a case with poor air circulation. My son saw an immediate…

Ideal for playing 4K media on PC

Does exactly what I need. My media PC is an old repurposed Optiplex 790 SFF with an i5-2400 processor - 4K videos in HEVC/H.265 format absolutely couldn't be played on the integrated graphics, so after some research I found that the Hardware acceleration for HEVC decoding is missing either processor. older than 6th generation Intel iX processors. Fits perfectly in the SFF case and now I can play HEVC 4K at 60Hz perfectly with a standard PSU which I believe is rated at 240W. I don't play games…

Annoying high-frequency fan

Although the GPU itself was fine, the fan was the biggest problem. First, you can't go below 85% even if you're using the GPU for everyday non-3D "office" use. Second, even at 85%, the fan emits a high-pitched whine that wasn't "loud" but was definitely annoying and drowned out everything else in the room. I've since replaced it with the MSI version and it's quieter. Can't even tell if the fan is on. Lesson learned! Two stars deducted only because the core functionality (GPU) was fine even with

Ideal for Minecraft, Roblox and Fortnite

My 9 year old daughter recently became interested in PC gaming like her big brother and asked her father to build her a PC for her birthday. Well, dad sucks when it comes to his little one. I was lucky enough to stumble upon this GPU just before the supply and demand situation got really bad. Paid a little more than I would have, but it wasn't outrageous. Put this in its turquoise FD case surrounded by 5 pink LED fans and it works great. She currently only plays Fortnite, Roblox and Minecraft…

Good graphics card for old games.

This is not a powerful graphics card. So most systems should be able to use it. I mostly play older, less demanding games at 1920x1080. I've been trying games on this graphics card for the time being. Euro Truck Simulator 2 has many settings, either high or medium at 100% scaling. I have stable 60 fps. The next game I started was Grim Dawn. Medium to low on some things to get 60 fps. The graphics card is not powerful but does a good job of maintaining playable frame rates in my games. I think…

Pros

Cons
  • The cable is shorter than other models.

Worked great at first, then disappointed

Of course, since I didn't save the full text of my original review, this will be a lot less detailed. Ordered card, received. I think it was four or maybe five days later. Installed right away and I'm happy. The frame rate has increased tenfold without changing the settings of the game I bought the card for. Where I could only get 25 fps with the lowest base settings and the lowest resolution, I was now able to get 50 fps with everything in the range of at least 50-75% and some settings at max.

Pros
  • Windows 10/8/7
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
