I wish I could say the backs of the pins are great, but they aren't. They're cheaply made and you get what you pay for. They come off with almost no tension. They fall off and almost certainly lose their pins, and even with some of the new ones I have, they don't snag and hold the pins. I would not recommend them. I bought these thinking they would be easier to use than the ones that had an Allen wrench to remove them, but that desire backfired.

Loved the idea of using these lockable backs with our Disney pins on vacation. I liked that I didn't need a key to lock and unlock. Initially, most of them worked, but I had a few that didn't stay on the needle. During the ride, some pin spines broke off the pins entirely and were lost. On the other rear pins, a smaller part came loose (which needs to be pulled to release the pin from the pin),

They just came right away, easier than plastic or metal bow ties actually, but if you REALLY love needles and spend thousands on them and such, just buy them with an Allen key provided, there's a link to that page and they cost the same lol. A LITTLE bit more time, but if you're trying to snag a $500 pin on a baseball cap 😉 - better spend the extra 30 seconds hahaha.
