16 oz Grey/Green ZULU Torque Kids Tritan Plastic Water Bottle with Silicone Sleeve Review

I bought this for my 5 year old son. He was the only one in the family who didn't have his own water bottle. He was so smitten with her that he hadn't taken his eyes off her since she was washed. Most kids would be disappointed that this isn't just another new toy. It hasn't spilled when it was closed and he loves that he can close the lid so his sister can't drink his water.

I've been doing tons of research on baby water bottles after my bottle broke at many other brands. It should not be advertised as sealed. It's only airtight when the lid is closed, and anyone with a toddler knows lids never close. From the top there is literally a hole for it to flow through as it rolls over. If your child keeps the lid closed and never knocks over the bottle, then this works great. If not then I would avoid it.

The quality of the bottle is excellent! It's still new to us, but appears to be very durable. I think the statement "narrow" is misleading. It's airtight when the lid is closed, but when it's open there's a small hole under the straw that will leak water EVERYWHERE when turned upside down (see pic; yes, I understand it shouldn't upside down, but I have a toddler so it's inevitable.) My 9 year old is a water bottle shredder. We cycle through a few a year and I hate how expensive they have to be made in just a month or a couple of weeks. It's not perfect, but out of dozens of different bottles we've tried, it's the closest thing to a winner. They are perfect for preschool/kindergarten and are Covid compliant as the lid is technically closed. It's also easy to clean - I just take it apart and throw it in the dishwasher. The only reason I wouldn't give 5 stars is that the valve can't dry out completely so there's always a risk of mold, but we only use it for water so haven't had any issues so far (I could find something terrible…
