No miracle.but it helps.

1/24/22 Update.I was able to find some setting combinations that made further improvement in dialogue for us. The best I've found so far is AccuVoice Sup 2 with a slight reduction in treble. As result I'm increasing my rating to 4 stars. And I have to say the ZVOX makes our TV time a lot more enjoyable.The improvement in dialogue for us is moderate but still significant. We've had it in use for three weeks and I'm still trying various settings. Should I find more improvement, I'll bump my…

Great box for hearing challenged

This box really helps to bring voices to the forefront. Sometimes the music can be so loud that it drowns out speakers voices. This is the second one we've bought so obviously is worth it to us.

Takes a little time to learn best settings.

Settings are different for the different programs, but once you get the right setting, it’s good clear listening No wireless connectivity options.

great product: my feedback

Have been using the product for 1 month now. I am an older person with poor hearing. This product is easy to setup and operate. What is outstanding about this unit is that it really pulls voice right out of the music or other background noise.

No HDMI-arc and I had to intervene to get a refund issued.

I did like the soundbar. The speech enhancement was wonderful. However without HDMI-arc, I had to use the ZVOX remote to raise and lower the volume. The soundbar I bought from another manufacturer had speech enhancement (not as good as ZVOX) and HDMI-arc. Now my TV remote volume up/down controls the soundbar AND turns off the internal TV speakers. Also, getting a refund issued when I returned the ZVOX, required me to contact the company and file a claim with Best Buy. This is not something I…

Makes voices clearer

My wife and I are in our late 70's and are increasingly having difficulty hearing certain characters on TV. (young females are the worst!). I bought and installed the ZVOX AV257 and it seems to work exactly as promised. It was simple to install and makes it easier to understand the dialog. This is a winner!

Really great upgrade

Sound quality and voices are crystal clear. Can listen without having volume maxed out. Great gift for my parents who really noticed the difference. Really easy to connect.

Does what it claims

I purchased a low-end brand name sound bar for our TV. Although it could get quite loud, it did not help my failing hearing. The ZVOX works for me. If the higher the voice assist level you use, the more treble you get. I use only the second level and I can now here 99% of dialogue. I recommend giving it a try, especially with the 30-day trial. Now we can hear the words. Rarely ever say what did they say to each other as a sho plays.

I like how it clarifies the voice and not having to have my tv at a high volume. The voice enhancement controls let you set it at the level your hearing needs. We do not have to play our tv so loud. It works great. This is the second one I have bought to we can now here the words. It and be used with a sound system.

excellent sound but does not lift enough voice out as expected

The product is easy to use and great sound quality but does not pull out the voices on the movies and TV programs as expected. It is better than the other sound bar I have but still not enough voice.

Great Product - my new review

It works like it said it would. Tech support was GREAT. I'd buy the plastic model instead of the metal one and save some money. Inside is the same.

Great for Hearing Loss Partner and Great Customer Service

I real enjoy this sound bar and so does my wife. I have a moderate hearing loss. With the addition of a Bluetooth transmitter, I can listen to the TV with wireless noise cancelling headset and adjust the volume to my comfort while my wife can listen to the direct sound a her comfort level. The adjustments for Accuvoice are very helpful to hear dialogue and reduce ambient noise (background music, explosions, racing cars, etc.). The remote is simple to understand and use. Great Sound while it is Working

The AV257 worked wonderfully for 2 weeks. Then it stopped working completely. I found no useful remedy. Thanks for attention.

So Far So Good on my review.

I'm using it on Sup 3 to Sup 4 and it really does give a significant boost to the dialog channel. Yes it is true the higher up you go the tinnier the sound gets. My solution is to run a separate stereo speaker with full frequency content on a fairly low volume, and then balance the ZVOX to bring the dialog out.One thing to note, it appears that if you put on the surround you lose all the dialog boost so I personally am not seeing the benefit of it having surround.
