Great product! for kitchen utensils and gadgets

I saw this item on America's Test Kitchen and got the top rating for hand puree. I gave it a try and couldn't be happier with the quality and design. Just make sure you don't use a coated pan as the metal will leave marks on the coating. But the puree turned out great!

Pros
  • Useful beyond intended use
Cons
  • Some bugs

Best puree ever! for fruit and vegetable tools

Is it crazy to LOVE a potato masher? I'm not kidding, this is a revelation! It really works VERY well. I used to struggle (and swore) with my old version of the grocery aisle. After reading the rave reviews I tried this crush and what a huge difference it makes. Almost no effort is required. I use it for all kinds of purees, bananas for banana bread, parsnips, cauliflower, works like a charm. Love it!

Pros
  • Durable coating
Cons
  • Some problems

Big rush!: Fruit and vegetable tools

Do not write many reviews and especially about kitchen tools, but this is an exception. I've been making mashed potatoes for years. I have used other hand tampers and electric mixers. For me, this Zyliss is the best of the best. I have a device that is somewhat similar to the Zyliss, but the Zyliss is better, especially in the way it feels in the hand during use. Either way, this is a great machine at a great price.

Pros
  • Nice packaging

  • Negative gift

You need it. - Kitchen & Dining

I can only speak for myself, of course, but whenever I make an egg salad or mashed potatoes with this masher, I always congratulate myself on the purchase. Very well made, well balanced, rock hard. The handle is even ergonomically angled slightly to make it comfortable, and there's a thick plastic strip on one side for scraping the egg salad (or mashed potatoes) back into the bowl. The holes seem to be the right size for everything. (You can't borrow mine - sorry.)

Superior Quality and Ease of Use

I can't believe the quality of this tool at this price! It has no grooves or seams to trap food, making it very easy to clean and very hygienic. One very useful feature that I missed in the description is the built in spatula on one side - it makes it easy to scrape the sides of the bowl and direct the contents back to the bottom as you go. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis in my hands and one of the reasons I chose this particular crusher was the handle. It turned out to be as easy to hold as I had…

Very good crush. We have been looking for a quality press machine for several years and it has met all the requirements. I doubted the plastic, but in fact it's designed to scratch the walls of the pan. Its thicker metal with cast-in holes is different from traditional crusher. We bought a second one because we liked it so much. We only wash by hand. Much better than cheap plastics that crack or warp, or wood that cracks over time. Like all kitchen utensils these days, they are designed for…

Large smooth meat grinder

I stomp my happiness with a potato masher. I was disappointed with the standard pusher we had for a couple of years and finally decided to upgrade our kitchenware. This crusher is bigger than any other crusher I have ever seen or used. Best of all, you don't have to put your hand in weird positions or angles, and your whole hand is used for more power and better consistency. You can see red lines in the image used by Revane. on the back of the crusher's hand. It's actually for a scraper that…

Fluffy mashed potatoes with little effort.

I have several handheld kitchen appliances purportedly for mashed potatoes and/or other soft vegetables. My favorites are the connection between this Zyliss model and the OXO model. If this Zyliss was covered like OXO, then Zyliss would take first place. OXO is coated with a silicone product that makes it safe to use in any pot or utensil you don't want to scratch. If you're pureeing in a stainless steel pot (instead of an enamelled interior like Le Creuset's), choose this Zyliss. If you're…

Yes, the side is red, not black.

Like some others I wanted it to have a black accent, not red, but after using it I have no regrets and I want it in my kitchen in any color! The vertical grip got me thinking because I thought the horizontal grip would give me more leverage, and I was glad that the easy-to-grip, slightly angled grip was sturdier and required less effort - I found it a lot easier to use than think. wavy puree in the form of a wire. It was much more efficient as it required far less food and didn't require…
