What is Foxbit
Foxbit is a Brazilian centralised crypto exchange, operating since 2014 and based in Osasco, São Paulo. It offers an order-book exchange and instant conversion in Brazilian reais, staking (Foxbit Earn), digital-dollar stablecoins, tokenised real-world assets and a crypto card, plus a B2B infrastructure arm (Foxbit Infra). It has applied to Brazil's central bank for authorisation as a virtual-asset service provider.
Good to know
- Foxbit has filed for central-bank authorisation as a virtual-asset service provider under BCB Resolutions 519, 520 and 521/2025; the filing is not itself an authorisation. ↗
- Customer crypto is held with external institutional custodians (BitGo, Fireblocks, Bradesco), mostly in cold storage, and segregated from Foxbit's own assets (company statement). ↗
- Sign-up requires a Brazilian CPF (individuals) and Brazilian identity or migrant documents, so the service is aimed at people in Brazil. ↗
- A simplified sign-up allows up to BRL 5,000 a month in real deposits and withdrawals but no crypto deposits or withdrawals until the account is verified. ↗
- If Foxbit permanently discontinues the platform, the terms promise at least one month of operation after the announcement for users to withdraw. ↗
- Third-party deposits are not accepted: reais must come from an account in the user's own CPF/CNPJ, otherwise they are returned after five business days. ↗

Funds returned: Foxbit thanked clients who had returned the amounts transferred in excess; no total recovered is stated. | blog.foxbit.com.br |
